Not too early to start looking for a good digital audio workstation though. But I've got a guitar or two in mind first, and I have to eat after I'm retired, etc. If this is going to be a "thing" I'll probably want a different pc spec'd more generously for audio. Otherwise I'll have to make a copy, mix it down to one stereo track like suggested above, then copy the guitar back into the original file when I'm done. Maybe there's something in the system settings on the pc to get at that. My memory from the other day was that Cakewalk had a dialog to adjust it but it was grayed out. I think I'll have to figure out where I can adjust the buffer size for the L6 ASIO driver. I didn't get a chance to do anything with it last night, but that it plays okay through the sound card makes me think the problem isn't that the pc can't do the fundamental number crunching to feed the audio device in a reasonably timely fashion. I think mine's i5 w/8G running Windows 10.
